Four-Wheeling Alto Quepos Mountain Area: This
land has dozens of respectable mountains and creeks, from Paso Real
River cross to San Joaquin La guaria Upper Naranjillo River Basin
more than 30 miles away. In addition to these two prime spots, try
a turn at El Pito Mountain Pass, Bajo Quebrada Honda, Naranjillo
Valley and El Diamante Mountain. Or, find your own secret spot.

Battling a Billfish Off the Pacific Coast: Billfish
are plentiful all along Costa Rica's Pacific coast, and boats operate
from Playa del Coco to Playa Zancudo. Costa Rican anglers hold world
records for both blue marlin and Pacific sailfish. Go to Quepos
(just outside Manuel Antonio) for the best après-fish scene,
or head down to Drake Bay, the Osa Peninsula, or Golfo Dulce, if

Hiking Mount El Pito and El Dragon Rocky Mountain protected
area: (near Llano Bonito de Leon Cortes on the Tarrazu
Valley): The steepest mountain in Costa Rica, Cerro El Dragon is
the only place in the world where, according to a local leyend,
the screams of "El Salvage" (The Savage) can be heard
.(on a clear day) you can see both the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific
